Established in 2005 by an Act of Parliament, The Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) of Jamaica is a statutory organization within the Ministry of National Security.  The Authority streamlines and standardizes the granting, renewal and revocation of firearm licences and all the attendant processes thereof.  This serves to modernize and regulate the licencing of firearms in Jamaica in keeping with global standards.
